Atlanta, Ga. — December 10, 2014 — DataBox Technologies announces the planned beta launch of Thoddy: an innovative, unique social mobile app that uses built-in safety features and patent-pending technologies to connect online people nearby for offline meetup.
“Existing apps match people based on algorithms—photos, shared friends, or interests—that often fail to reflect their users’ true intentions. These apps are designed for users to connect online and possibly plan to meet up sometime in the future. They do not cater to users who want to connect in real time and participate in an activity,” says Adekunle Ayodele, founder of the Mixle app and chief executive officer of DataBox Technologies.
Thoddy’s signature feature enables users to select location-specific “thoughts” and instantly connect with nearby users based on what their current thoughts are.
Ayodele explains, “Mixle redefines how people meet online by only connecting people who share similar thoughts for near-instant offline meetup. Its safety features are truly a game changer that goes a step further in protecting our users.”
Mixle also features a patent-pending dynamic profile picture that helps reduce fraud in user account registration and ensures the authenticity of the user, as well as a one-click Get Me Out Of Here button that allows users to get help—in case of an emergency or uncomfortable situation—by sending location details to designated contacts via text message.
Thoddy’s beta release is planned for March 2015 and will be available from Apple’s App Store and Google Play. To find out more and sign up to be among the first to be notified of Thoddy’s beta release, visit www.thoddy.co or follow on Facebook (Facebook.com/thoddyapp) and Twitter (@thoddyapp).
